Slack’s Help Fully Fund ABE Centennial Scholarship

Tuesday, January 17, 2023

The Marion & Donald Slack challenge was an event with the purpose of funding the ABE Centennial Scholarship. For each dollar donated between November 1 through December 31, Marion and Donald Slack donated two dollars to the fund. With the help of BE faculty, staff, and alumni, we were able to gather $4,200, which Marion and Donald matched with $8,400 for a total of $12,600!

Thanks to the many contributions, the Biosystems Engineering department could fully fund the ABE Centennial scholarship. The account will support Biosystems Engineering student groups for homecoming, symposiums, etc.

We also give our special thanks to Marion & Donald Slack and for their generous donation towards the ABE Centennial Scholarship! We truly appreciate their commitment to supporting our students. Even in retirement, the BE students will feel the impact of Don's dedication to educating students.
