Celebrating the Retirement of Dr. Yitayew & Dr. Slack

Wednesday, June 15, 2022

To end the Spring 2022 semester, the Biosystems Engineering Department honored the great careers of Dr. Muluneh Yitayew and Dr. Don Slack. Muluneh retired as of late May 2022 after 47 combined years in the department as a student and professor. Don technically retired in after the Spring 2020 semester, but continued teaching classes for us through the Spring 2022 semester. We were also not able to properly celebrate his career at an in-person event because of COVID until now. Don was a professor in the department for over 35 years. We congratulate these two great men on their careers and wish them the best in retirement!
